Juli’s going to the AAM Annual Meeting & Museum Expo

I meant to update y’all this weekend on my crowd-funding progress, because let me assure you, there was progress! I surpassed my fundraising goal for a grand total of $1020, which means I’ll be doing 10 interviews with museum aficionados, professionals, and students. I’m so grateful to everyone who contributed to the cause and spread the word to friends. You are all amazing.

Now comes the fun part. I’m taking your feedback on the types of people I should interview, and even what sorts of talks to attend. Is there anything you’ve always wondered about whenever visiting a museum? Any area in which you’re particularly interested, like evaluations or technology or collections or development or education? Maybe you want to hear how other professionals got started in their fields, or else you want to hear what new trends to watch out for. I will do my best to track people down who meet your whims. Leave a comment below with your suggestions, or tweet me @julipants.

In addition, while I have a lot of the events and sessions planned out there are still a few cases where I’m trying to decide where to go/what to do — and you are just the people to help me out.
